A Fool Never Stays Down!

Fool’s Core Devlog #6

Alright! You know what it is! It’s another edition of Fool’s Core devlog! If you’ve followed along, you know that the past month has been crazy and pretty eventful. I went from struggling with an idea for a game, to finally getting a great idea, and then Fool’s Core imploding on me. If you need a recap you can check out the previous devlogs, but for now, let’s get into it.

Zenkai Boost for a Fool

So unlike the previous two devlogs, I have some pretty good news! The reconstruction of Fool’s Core is going better than I expected. I was very concerned about condensing a year’s worth of work into a month but it’s working out pretty well. Hopefully, you picked up on the Dragonball reference in the header but in case you didn’t, it’s like Fool’s Core (and to a degree, myself) has gotten a boost of power by going through this ordeal.

With all that being said, I feel that the reconstructed Fool’s Core is just as ready for testing as the old one was. I’ve been working on prototyping my aforementioned great idea. As you might guess, Fool’s Core still needs work but at least I can make tweaks without it imploding on me and it’s a lot easier to work with. Hopefully, soon you can see my Klonoa-equse dodgeball prototype.

Conclusion

This is probably the shortest devlog to date but honestly, it’s not much to say and I need to get back to work. Hopefully, the next devlog will be more interesting if this prototyping goes well. Thank you for reading and make sure to make it back here for the next devlog. Until then you can check me out on Twitter, Instagram, and/or TikTok. You can also support me monetarily over at my Ko-Fi. Thanks again and have a great day!
